In our opinion, the best-untethered charger today is the Indra Smart PRO if you want an in-built display, solar and complete tariff integration.

Another popular option is the EO Mini Pro 2, an inconspicuous black box that’s cheap to install and easy to use. It requires a Garo earthing device, though, and the app isn’t the best.

An upgrade to the EO Mini Pro 2 is the Sync EV charger. The Sync EV looks similar to the EO, but it has an LED light ring, RFID and in-built solar, as well as integrated earthing.

If you generate renewable energy (solar, wind, micro-hydro) then the best-untethered EV charger is the Zappi v2. It’s a big unit, but the performance is excellent.
